Illinois License Plate Renewal Sticker

The Secretary of State’s office in Illinois announced last year due to State budget issues license plates renewal stickers notices would no longer be mailed to drivers http://www.rrstar.com/article/20150929/NEWS/150929483.
The good news is that notices for emission testing are being mailed and once emission test complete the State automatically sends license plates renewal sticker notice in the mail. Another way that drivers can renew license plate sticker is to visit the secretary of State website at www.cyberdriveillinois.com there is a link on home page to sign up for e-mail notices or select “e-services” on the left side of the screen, than select “license plates renewal” https://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/vehicles/onlinerenewals/home.html
