What was your child hood aspirations?

As a child I wanted to create toys for Mattel, like GI Joe or Thunder Cats. I would buy molding clay with shaping tools from a craft/hobby store, making different types of action figures of all shapes and sizes. My Family owned a motion picture film lab and I grew up in a film environment. I remember my father having an old fashion Super 8 camera and I would position all my clay action figures in a scene recording their moves, creating a short film on their super powers. Now a days being a film maker myself I look back at those memories and know that from a young age I knew that my creative passion would lead me to being a film maker.

Can you give our readers a quick answer on business advice ?

From my experience as an entrepreneur. Every time you think to yourself, “I know this already” or “This just isn’t for me” try turning it around by asking yourself , “How can I make this work for me”? This automatically puts you into a learning mindset and helps you see opportunities everywhere.

What was your toughest challenge?

My toughest challenge was learning how to balance being a Creative Director and a business manager responsible for budgeting video productions and managing people. I overcame that challenge by realizing that I had to put together a team to help me orchestrate my goals. This would allow me to wear both hats and to establish myself as an entrepreneur.
